Official XPC Rules and Regulations

  • XPC rules - by participating in any XPC event, you agree to adhere to all XPC rules and regulations and behave in an appropriate manner.
  • Age Requirement - Players must be at least 21 years of age and have valid photo identification at all events. Except where locations allow 18 and over participants.
  • Cell Phone - If cell phone use becomes a distraction to the table or interrupts the game, you will be asked to turn it off. Failure to do so will result in a penalty from the Tournament Director.
  • Conduct/Penalty - This is free poker! Let's remember that we're not playing with professionals. Any disruptive behavior will result in a penalty as simple as a warning, up to being asked to leave the tournament. The TD final decision is final. This organization was formed to create entertainment and let's keep it that way.
  • Etiquette - The following actions are improper and grounds for penalty: Touching other players cards or chips, rabbit hunting, acting out of turn, splashing the pot, revealing other players hand, interfering with the visibility of cards or chips, making statements or actions that might influence play in an unfair manner.
  • NO GAMBLING - No side bets. No cash bets. Any member found violating this rule will be banned from the XPC indefinitely and shall be disqualified from playing and will lose all points accumulated up to that point.
  • No money on table - All participants of any XPC event are prohibited from placing any form of currency (other than XPC poker chips) on a session table, as law prohibits this. There will be no exceptions to this rule and violators will be asked to leave and shall be disqualified from the tournament for that week.
  • Point Structure - Players accumulate points according to the scoring system by finishing within the parameters set out in individual weekly tournaments (Please review the XPC scoring sheet for clarification). The tournament host must keep a record of the results of each tournament and report the scores directly to the website or our office.
  • Blind Lengths - XPC blind levels at all events and locations are 30 minutes.
  • Starting Stacks - Starting stacks for our weekly tournaments at all locations will be $4,000. The XPC reserves the right to adjust starting stacks as necessary.
  • Self Dealt - All weekly tournaments are self dealt by the players at the table.
  • Changes - XPC staff reserves the right to cancel or modify any event or promotion as necessary.
  • Pot ruling - A ruling regarding a pot may only be made before the next hand starts. Otherwise the results of a hand will stand. The new dealer receiving the cards will start a new hand.
  • Circuit Hosts - Circuit Hosts/Tournament Directors are to consider the best interest of the game and fairness as the top priority in the decision making process. Unusual circumstances may require that exceptions be made in the interest of fairness. Host/Tournament Directors decision is final.
  • Late Arriving Players - Players arriving late must be in their spot no later than the end of the first break. Any chips on the table for that late player will be removed at that point.
  • Dealer Position - The deal will always start at position number one. Players will not high card for dealer. If a table is reseated and 50% or more of the players are new to the table, then the players will draw for the button. At the start of the final table players will draw for the button.
  • Shuffle - Dealers must shuffle cards at least three times, and the player one spot behind the dealer must cut cards every hand.
  • Dealer rotation - Players will rotate the dealer button in a clockwise rotation.
  • Blind Levels - Blinds are raised consistently throughout according to the blind structure. At each blind level the raise is effective on the next live hand. The moment the cards are received by the new dealers the next live hand starts.
  • Blind Structure - An official XPC blind structure is listed below:
  •   Level Small/Big Blind Notes
      1 25/50
      2 50/100
      3 75/150 15 min break color up $25 chips.
      4 100/200
      5 200/400
      6 300/600
      7 400/800 15 min break color up $100 chips.
      8 500/1000
      9 1000/2000
      11 2000/4000
      12 3000/6000 Cap <30 Players
      13 4000/8000 Cap 30-60 Players
      14 5000/10000 Cap >60 Players
  • Dead Button - If the player in the small blind is eliminated the button still moves to the empty position and the person behind the button deals for the phantom player, this is called a “dead button”. The other players post blinds as usual. If the player in the big blind is eliminated, the small blind position is dead and only the big blind is posted. The following hand the blind structures will return to normal. This ensures every player is posting a big blind and there is forced action every hand.
  • Re-seated into the blinds - New players are dealt in immediately untless they sit down in the small blind or button position. In these two cases, they must wait until the button passes. If a player is seated in the big blind position, the player must post the big blind and will be dealt into the hand. If the player sitting in the big blind had just paid the big blind they must do so again.
  • Absent Player - An absent player is always dealt a hand and will be put up for blinds if in a blind position. If you are not present when the last card is dealt, your hand will be mucked (folded) after all cards have been dealt. This includes situations in which a live blind is not present when dealt, since an absent player cannot excersise the option to raise. Empty seats without a player or chips are dealt out.
  • Color Up - The lowest denomination of chip will be colored up and removed from play when no longer needed in the blind structure. All lower denomination chips that are of sufficient quantity for a new chip will be colored up directly. All remaining odd chips will be rounded up to the next chip denomination.
  • Misdeal - If more than two cards are exposed due to dealer error, it is a misdeal. I f only one card is exposed or seen by someone at the table, the dealer continues to deal all the hole cards to all players. The dealer then replaces the seen card with a new card and the seen card becomes the first burn card.
  • No string bets - A player must state their intentions before placing chips in front of them. If you do not state raise, any single chip placed in front of you will be an assumed call and the dealer will return your change. Multiple chips placed in front of you  will be an assumed raise for the total amount you placed out. You  must place all chips required to satisfy your intentions in one motion. You may not go back into your bank multiple times.
  • Visible Chips - All chips must remain visible and on the table at all times. Unless you are moving to a new table. A player's highest chips denomination must be visible at all times to all players.
